PITTSBURGH– Clearview Federal Credit Union has kicked off its fundraising campaign supporting American Diabetes Tour de Cure with a spin on the traditional bake sale.
With more of a focus on healthy snacks than traditional treats, the Clearview team raised over $2,000 toward its ultimate goal for the Sept. 14, 2019 event. In addition to the bake sale, Clearview is also selling camp chairs as part of the ongoing fundraising efforts for the Tour de Cure.
At the Tour de Cure, Clearview employees will walk in support of Cadence McCollim with team WatchaMcCollim. Tour de Cure is the American Diabetes Association’s national event to raise funds for research, advocacy, programs and education. Participants in Tour de Cure events across the nation can partake on their own or as a team, and are able to run, walk, ride, or participate virtually.
Cadence McCollim and friends from team WatchaMcCollim helped with the sale of camp chairs at the bake sale. Chelsea Schaffer, associate director of development for the American Diabetes Association, also stopped by the bake sale to lend her support.
