MILWAUKIE, Ore.–Clackamas Federal Credit Union supported the Mt. Hood Search and Rescue Council volunteers with a donation of $5,000. This is the seventh annual donation from Clackamas to Mt. Hood Search and Rescue Council totaling more than $65,000 dollars.
This year’s donation will be used to purchase 15 much-needed GPS units, as well as new tires for a communications vehicle.
“We are so very grateful for the funds provided to Mt. Hood Search and Rescue Council by Clackamas Federal Credit Union. We are always raising money and are so lucky to have [their] support,” said Sherri Magdlen, regional director of Development.
Mt. Hood Search and Rescue Council is comprised of nine Oregon County Sheriff offices, volunteer rescue teams, and other collaborators that work together to cover a large region of the Oregon State Sheriffs’ Association.
“It is our pleasure to support Mt. Hood Search and Rescue with this donation, said Clackamas FCU CEO Aaron Goff. “They provide a critical service to the County, often at their own peril and expense. I continue to be amazed at what these rescue personnel go through and how frequently they are called upon to save a life or recover a loved one.”
