MILWAUKIE, Ore.–Clackamas Federal Credit Union has partnered with The Canby Center to help break the cycle of poverty through financial education and has pledged $50,000--to be funded over three years--to help the organization expand its operations and facilitate dozens of financial literacy education courses per year in both English and Spanish.
“At Clackamas, our mission and our passion is to improve the lives of individuals and families in our community,” said CEO Aaaron Goff. “One of our amazing community partners in that work is The Canby Center, and it is our absolute pleasure to support the growth and scope of their amazing work.”
In 2021, The Canby Center distributed more than 916,000 pounds of food, served more than 4,000 lunches, and provided more than 1,521 education hours to families and individuals in need in our community. In order to keep up with the growing need in Canby and beyond, The Canby Center is working to greatly expand its physical facility.
The Clackamas FCU donation will help achieve this vision and make a difference to hundreds of individuals and families in the community, the credit union said.
