RALEIGH, N.C.– Civic FCU has reupped its primary sponsorship of the ncIMPACT series, which each week explores the challenges and community solutions to common, but difficult issues such as education, jobs and healthcare.
It was developed in partnership with UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina and the UNC School of Government, In addition to the series’ over-the-air broadcasts, ncIMPACT is also accessible any time online at unctv.org/ncIMPACT. The site features individual episodes, segments and web extras to complement the series.
Saying it is devoted to using financing to do good across the state of North Carolina, Civic FCU jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the multi-platform program again.
“Although Civic FCU serves a small part of it, we’re dedicated to making the world a better place,” Civic FCU President Dwayne Naylor said. “It is important for us to continue to invest in the ncIMPACT series to do our part in achieving that goal.”
ncIMPACT goes beyond simply pointing out roadblocks to progress. Host Anita Brown-Graham and the production team feature communities across the state that are trying new approaches and finding new answers.
“What's so impressive about the way UNC-TV covers North Carolina is it goes deep and gives people an opportunity to truly understand what's behind the two-second soundbite,” Brown-Graham said.
The show’s goal is to get North Carolinians excited to learn more about the difference they can make in their state, which aligns well with Civic FCU’s goals. But it’s not just talk; ncIMPACT is about taking action to affect change.
“At Civic, we believe in offering real solutions and the resources to go along with them to improve communities. ncIMPACT is just one resource that delivers. Our goal is to help every community prosper and ensure every member is flourishing. And we won’t stop until the job gets done,” Naylor said.
The new season begins on Jan. 30th.
