VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.--Chartway Federal Credit Union recently welcomed several new leaders to its leadership team: George Pita, chief lending officer; Will Arce, vice president of Chartway’s Member Solutions Center; Elizabeth Short, vice president of marketing; and Danielle Abbassi, president of Chartway’s charitable arm, the We Promise Foundation.
Pita comes to Chartway with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in the areas of credit risk management and finance. A proven leader, he joined Chartway after serving as the senior vice president of consumer and business lending at Grow Financial Federal Credit Union.
Arce is a senior-level leader with expertise in delivering inventive business strategies and strengthening internal and member experiences. Most recently, he served as Capital One’s contact center operations, quality, training, and vendor management director for its Canadian operations.
Short is a senior-level marketing professional who has more than 25 years of experience in marketing strategy, advertising, digital marketing, new business development, and brand management. Most recently, she worked as the vice president of digital marketing for Meridian Group, an advertising agency in Virginia Beach.
Abbassi joins Chartway following more than 10 years of non-profit sector experience. Most recently, she served as the director of development for the National Veterans Foundation.
