WATERFORD, Conn.–Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has named Alicia Zurowski as its new Mortgage Officer.
“Alicia’s very familiar with the housing markets and communities of eastern Connecticut so she knows the right lending products to meet our members’ needs,” said Brian A. Orenstein, Charter Oak’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “She's joining an already strong mortgage team that’s worked hard to make Charter Oak eastern Connecticut’s Number One mortgage lender, and I’m sure with Alicia’s help we’ll continue our top leadership position again this year.”
Charter Oak now has four Mortgage Officers serving the eastern Connecticut housing market. The Waterford-based credit union has been the Number 1 mortgage lender in New London and Windham counties combined for an unprecedented six consecutive years, according to data from the Boston-based Warren Group. From 2010 through 2015, Charter Oak originated 6,265 mortgages across New London and Windham counties with a combined value exceeding $782 million.
Zurowski, who grew up in Plainfield, is a longtime resident of Griswold. Her extensive underwriting and lending industry experience covers more than 15 years, including eight prior years with Charter Oak where she played an important role in the credit union obtaining its FHA lending designation.
