ATLANTA–Center Parc Credit Union has kicked off a new Community Gardens initiative with donations to a number of organizations. The initiative is designed to support local programs that help increase access to fresh food, enhance beautification throughout neighborhoods, encourage physical activity and increase community knowledge about fresh food and nutrition.
Representatives from the West Broad YMCA accepted a contribution of $1,500 from Center Parc Credit Union at Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens. The CU also donated $1,500 each to the Garden City Homestead Association, Employability, Coastal Heritage Society (Frogtown) Garden, and Morningstar Arts Creative Garden.
