Catholic Vantage Financial CU Funds 12 Scholarships

PLYMOUTH, Mich.–Catholic Vantage Financial CU reported that when it invited members to apply for its 2019 scholarship program, the plan was to award 10 scholarships. Because of the outstanding response to this year’s scholarship program, CVF’s board voted to increase the total number of scholarships to 12.

The winning students and their families were recognized at CVF’s Annual Membership meeting.

Eight scholarships in the amount of $500 each were awarded to help cover tuition for students attending Catholic schools, with four scholarships for youth in elementary school and four in high school.

In addition, four college scholarships of $1,000 each were awarded to 2019 high school graduating seniors from private or public high schools. Along with completing an online application, each student was required to submit a short essay about their understanding of financial matters.

“Catholic Vantage Financial has a long standing commitment to financial literacy and to helping students and their families who live their faith every day,” said Emma Teller, vice president of operations. “We are honored to be able to help these students further their education and build a solid foundation for the future.”
