Capital CU Awards Scholarships

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Capital Credit Union recently awarded 10 scholarships of $2,500 each for a total of $25,000 to upcoming graduates through its Tom Young Educational Scholarship program. 

The following recipients were selected from among 113 applicants using a rating system that emphasized their mission of “Doing the Right Thing” through academic success, community service, and volunteering:

  • Allison Linsmeier, Preble High School
  • Boone Kirst, Ashwaubenon High School
  • Brian Voetberg, Appleton West High School
  • David Hendrickson, De Pere High School
  • Emma Reinhardt, Sturgeon Bay High School
  • Haylie Dumoulin, Ashwaubenon High School
  • Lilly Kaminski, Denmark High School
  • Nicole Berna, Pulaski High School
  • Savannah Teale, Hortonville High School
  • Veronica Isselmann, Kaukauna High School

All high school seniors who were members of Capital Credit Union with a minimum GPA of at least 2.5 were eligible to apply. 

“Youth are the future of our communities and Capital Credit Union is proud to invest in their continued education and potential in the name of our former CEO, Tom Young, who retired in 2021 after 32 years with the credit union,” said President and CEO Laurie Butz.
