DENVER—Canvas Credit Union has relocated its University branch to a restored historic building at 2345 E. Evans Ave., just steps from the branch’s former location. The new office opened Aug. 27.
The approximately 2,225-square-foot branch combines modern banking services with preserved architectural features, including exposed brick and a large structural timber beam. The interior was stripped to its framework and rebuilt to meet current accessibility, security and technology standards.
“Our new branch represents more than a new location — it reflects our continued commitment to the people who live, work and learn in this community,” CEO Chad Shane said. “We wanted to create a welcoming space that respects the character and integrity of the building while providing improved access to financial services and a place where the community can gather.”
The branch provides personal and business banking services and includes a community room for financial education, wellness events and neighborhood meetings. Construction began in December 2025.
