LONE TREE, Colo. — Canvas Credit Union raised $15,050 for Children’s Hospital Colorado during its annual Kickoff for Kids charity event, awarding one lucky donor with free Broncos tickets.
Each year, as football season begins, Canvas rallies Coloradans to donate to their annual Kickoff for Kids fundraiser by stopping by one of their 27 branches, or by calling in to the credit union. All funds go to the Canvas Foundation, benefitting Children’s Hospital Colorado, part of the Children’s Miracle Network.This year was no different, as paper footballs adorned the walls of the credit union’s branches during the event, representing each donor’s support for Children’s Hospital. Local donations flowed in from August 16 through September 14, 2019. This year, Canvas even had a particularly young philanthropist donate his entire piggy-bank of $200 to this cause! At the end of the drive, one lucky donor was randomly selected to win Broncos suite tickets to the Denver vs. San Diego game on Dec. 1, 2019.“It’s inspiring and heart-warming to see all these tiny paper footballs, each one representing a donor’s support for Children’s Hospital Colorado,” said Malcolm Johnson, Canvas’ Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement.
