SAN DIEGO–Cabrillo Credit Union raised more than $32,000, to support Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego.
Throughout the month-long fundraising campaign, known as the Miracle Month of May, which was moved to October this year, credit unions around the country raised money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Cabrillo said its members and vendors generously donated. Employees contributed by donating, as well as hosting a virtual silent auction. Employees donated items for the auction and planned a safe and sanitary pick-up and drop-off system.
Cabrillo Credit Union received a $10,000 grant from CO-OP Financial Services through its Miracle Match program.
“Cabrillo has been participating in the Miracle Month of May for well over two decades. We feel honored by the outpouring of support that we receive from our members, vendors and staff, to help support such a worthy cause,” said Chief Marketing Officer Jonathan Zide. “We are exceptionally grateful of this support, particularly during these challenging times. Cabrillo has never missed a year of fundraising for the Miracle Month of May and we are glad that we could participate again this year…even if it was in October.”
