REHOBOTH, Mass.–More than 100 golfers came together for a round of golf at the Credit Unions of Rhode Island Charity Golf to benefit Special Olympics Rhode Island.
During the awards lunch, David Dupere, Wave Federal Credit Union & Social Responsibility Committee Chair, expressed his gratitude to all the credit unions and business partners in Rhode Island for their support in the past year for Special Olympics Rhode Island.
CCUA President/CEO Ronald McLean extended his thanks to Dupere and the members of the committee for all they do for Special Olympics Rhode Island.
Members of the Social Responsibility Committee presented a check for $90,000 to Special Olympics Rhode Island Executive Director Edwin Pacheco and athlete Michael Lucca.
These funds encompass the total amount raised in the year by credit unions, members, sponsors, etc. representing more than $1.53 million since 1998.
