CUTX Wins Wylie Way Award

ALLEN, Texas–Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) has been presented with the November 2019 Wylie Way Award for demonstrating the characteristics of respect and giving in the community.

The Wylie Way is a movement in its schools that is research-based and designed to help set students in the community on the path to achievement in every area of their lives. It is built on the foundations of relationships, strengths and interest, plan and purpose and core ethical values.

CUTX was nominated by Lori Villarreal, executive director of the Wylie Independent School District (ISD) Education Foundations, Inc, whose mission is to enhance the education of student in the Wylie ISD.

“CUTX entered Wylie with listening ears, learning how our community values its school districts,” said Villarreal. “The CUTX staff was quick to connect, an approach that was so refreshing as they truly listened and heard the goals of the Wylie ISD Education Foundation. CUTX then aligned its involvement with our expressed interests. CUTX is an authentic partner that has given generously in a purposeful way.”

Added CUTX Vice President of Engagement Jennifer Olvera, “We are honored to receive the Wylie Way award from Wylie ISD. As a company we make it our mission to give back to our communities via servant leadership and financial literacy. Receiving this award helps solidify that we have built a strong partnership with the Wylie Community.”
