ALLEN, Texas– For the second year, Credit Union of Texas will be a prime sponsor for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County Annual Gala. This year’s event will be held Saturday, April 4, 2020 at The Star in Frisco and will feature entertainment by The Jordan Kahn Orchestra. It will include a three-course dinner, a live auction as well as silent auction and a raffle for a 2020 Lexus RX Automobile.
“We are thrilled to have Credit Union of Texas as the presenting sponsor of our annual Gala for the second year in a row,” said CACCC CEO Lynne McLean. “We are deeply grateful for their continued support to the children of Collin County. The funds we raise at Gala are imperative to our Center so we may continue our commitment to offer services to every child in need of our help. We wouldn’t be able to do this work if it weren’t for dedicated supporters like Credit Union of Texas.”
Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County began as project of the Junior League of Collin County. In 1992 when the Center opened its doors in Plano, it had staff, space and resources to only serve 10% of the children in its community victimized by abuse or neglect. Today, the CACCC has helped more than 65,000 children and family members impacted by abuse.
“Our passion for education goes beyond the classroom in a traditional sense,” said CUTX Vice President of Engagement Jennifer Olvera. “We feel it is critical to be a part of an organization that protects our communities through its dedication to preventing, recognizing and reporting child abuse. We are excited to once again be the presenting sponsor for the Gala and continuing our partnership with them in 2020.”
