BISMARCK, N.D.–During the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) Summit, a local charity was selected to receive donations from the generosity of credit unions and individuals attending the conference. This year's chosen charity for the 2016 Summit was the Central Dakota Humane Society located in Mandan, North Dakota. The CDHS been doing good deeds in the community for over 50 years. This organization receives no city, state or federal funding and donations are always needed to help the animals and the organization.
During the three-day event, $225 in cash was collected. Also donated were postage stamps and numerous items needed for animal care. Mandy Schaff, Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator for the CDHS was on hand to receive the donated items and speak about the organization at the close of the Summit.
