DEADWOOD, S.D. – During the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas’ Summit here, tables quickly filled with donations of food items, art supplies, games, cleaning products, clothes, and other items on the “needs list” from the Boys and Girls Club of Lead – Deadwood. As an added bonus, at the end of his presentation, closing keynote speaker Matt Tenney announced that he was leaving stacks of his book Serve to be Great free for attendees – all he asked was that they pay it forward, and make a donation to the Boys and Girls Club. This incredible act brought in an extra $647 in cash for the club, the CUAD said.
