BISMARCK, N.D.–The Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas (CUFD), the charitable arm of the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas, held its Fourth Annual Golf Scramble fundraiser at the Jamestown Country Club in Jamestown, N.D.
With the participation of 56 golfers as well as event sponsors, nearly $11,000 was raised in one afternoon to support the ongoing work of the CUFD.
“We’re so thankful for the support our credit unions and business sponsors provided for our annual golf tournament,” says Darla Schafer, manager of Flasher Community Credit Union and CUFD board chair. “We are excited to use the funds we raised to give back to our communities,” she added.
The CUFD will use the money to build more community awareness of Dakota credit unions through support of children’s charities, community and social impact organizations or projects, financial education and financial literacy programs, and to provide higher education scholarships throughout North and South Dakota. Most recently, the CUFD awarded $10,000 in scholarships to area students.
