Red River Chapter of the Fargo, N.D. area received the Chapter of the Year honor during the CUAD Annual Summit Awards Banquet in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Chapter of the Year Award recognizes one credit union chapter in North or South Dakota for its outstanding achievements in advocacy, communication, education, and community involvement.

The Red River Chapter was selected because it is truly committed to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”

“This is demonstrated by the scholarships they provide to important credit union events, their engagement with the Association, their activities that support the next generation of credit union leaders, and their commitment to supporting charitable causes in their community while raising awareness of credit unions,” the CUAD said.

CUAD awards are judged by out-of-state employees at the Illinois Credit Union League, the Nebraska Credit Union League, and the Minnesota Credit Union Network. Besides receiving a commemorative plaque, the chapter received a $200 cash prize.
