BISMARCK, N.D.–The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas has been named a 2016 All Star Award winner by Constant Contact. The annual award recognizes the most successful 10 percent of Constant Contact’s customer base, based on their significant achievements using email marketing to engage their customer base and drive results for their organization during the prior year.
CUAD uses Constant Contact to launch its daily electronic newsletter, the Memo. Each day, the Memo is sent via Constant Contact to nearly 1,400 credit union professionals and industry friends. The success of CUAD’s newsletter is demonstrated in the statistics that Constant Contact provides, the organization said. The average open rate on the Memo email is at 31%, compared to an industry average (other associations) of 24% and an average user rate of 18%. CUAD has an average click rate of 49%, compared to an industry average of 8.5% and average user click rate of 12%.
This is the third consecutive year that CUAD has received the All Star Award.

Criteria used by Constant Contact to select this year’s All Stars for 2016 included:
- Level of engagement with email campaigns
- Open, bounce, and click-through rates
- Use of social sharing features
- Use of mailing list sign-up tools
- Use of reporting tools
