WATERFORD, Conn. – Eunice Lima-Brooks, a Member Service Representative with Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, has been named a “Young Professional of the Year” by the Young Professionals of Eastern Connecticut.
“We’re very pleased to see Eunice honored as a Young Professional of the Year,” said Brian A. Orenstein, Charter Oak’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “She is committed to giving back to the community and can always be counted on to step up and help with our community outreach activities,” he said. “Charter Oak is proud of all that Eunice has achieved, and we’re also proud to be one of the founding sponsors for the Young Professionals of Eastern Connecticut,” said Orenstein.
Lima-Brooks was one of three Young Professionals honored with the annual award during the Young Professionals of the Year Dinner earlier this month in Mystic. The Young Professionals organization is part of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut. The event was attended by about 100 YP members and their guests.
Lima-Brooks began her career with the Waterford-based Charter Oak in 2004 as a Lending Clerk, and later became a Collection Specialist as well as a Visa Processor. She currently serves as a Member Service Representative with Charter Oak. Lima-Brooks is a member of Charter Oak’s Community Outreach Committee and is an active and longtime volunteer with numerous Charter Oak community-giving activities. Lima-Brooks is a graduate of Rhode Island College in Providence, R.I.
