Bruce May Named Chairman of Cabrillo Credit Union

SAN DIEGO-- Bruce May has been elected to serve as Chairman of the board of directors of Cabrillo Credit Union.

“Bruce has been an instrumental voice and leader on our Board for more than a decade,” said President and CEO Robin Lentz in a statement. “His experience as a police lieutenant, and in various positions on a pair of credit union boards has prepared him well for his new leadership role.”

May retired in 2013 as a lieutenant with the City of Carlsbad Police Department after 30 years of dedicated law enforcement service. May has been a credit union member for 23 years, having served as a volunteer board member and eventual Chairman of Carlsbad City Employees Credit Union (CCECU) since 1999. He helped facilitate CCECU’s merger with Cabrillo Credit Union in 2004 and was appointed to the Cabrillo board in 2008.

Others elected to board leadership positions for the coming year include Randi Larsson (Sharp Healthcare), Vice Chair; Marcella Serrano-Gomez (US Attorney’s Office), Secretary; and Armand Olvera (US Border Patrol – Retired), Treasurer.
