LA HABRA, Calif.– American First Credit Union hosted its biggest Member Appreciation Event with an on-site shred truck producing more than 6,000 pounds of shredded documents in just four hours.
Hundreds of visitors came to the La Habra branch location to take advantage of securely shredding their personal documents. The on-site shred truck gave people the opportunity to see their old checks, statements, and tax filings be shredded on the spot, the credit union said.
The local community was invited out for the special day where members and guests were treated to food, a souvenir t-shirt, gas card drawings and biometric readings offered by Central Drugs. Visitors were able to view cars and special pricing offered by credit union exhibitor partners Enterprise Car Sales, Autoland, and Motto United Motorcycle. The branches located in Orange and Buena Park had food, giveaways and special treats for members and visitors.
In addition, members and guests entered to win the grand prize of a weekend getaway for two.
“We love doing things for our members and providing a safe place to shred personal documents is just one of the many ways we give back to our members and the community we serve,” says Elsa Montes, Director of Marketing. “The food and exhibitors just made it fun for all visitors.”
