WOODBRIDGE, Va.--Belvoir Federal Credit Union has broken ground on the new Ft. Belvoir branch located in Ft. Belvoir, Va., while also providing a financial donation to the Spouses Club.
“It has been a long time coming since we asked for land to build a new branch on Ft. Belvoir, but now we have the land and we are prepared to build a great branch filled with the latest technological advancements for our members and soldiers,” said CEO Patricia Kimmel.
Separately, Belvoir Federal has awarded the Fort Belvoir Enlisted Spouses Club (BESC) with a matching grant check for $3,000 on behalf of the credit union and the Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN). Over the past two decades, AFFN has proudly supported AFFN participating Association of Military Banks of America (AMBA) Banks and Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) Credit Unions in their mission to support the troops, their families, and the U.S. Military and Defense Communities worldwide.
While being presented with the check, Laurin McCord, BESC’s Vice President, stated, “The Belvoir Enlisted Spouses' Club would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to AFFN and the Belvoir Federal Credit Union. With the continued support of your organizations, the Belvoir Enlisted Spouses' Club has been able to provide a multitude of community outreach programs and to support military dependents seeking to further their education. We cannot thank you enough.”
