HANSCOM AFB, Mass.–– Hanscom FCU Vice President of Mortgages Claire Beaudoin retired at the end of the year, after 10 years of service at the credit union and a long and distinguished career in mortgages and lending.
Ms. Beaudoin joined Hanscom FCU’s Mortgage Department in 2006 when the credit union merged with Milestone Federal Credit Union. She had been Vice President of Member Services, overseeing branch operations. Ms. Beaudoin was promoted to Vice President of Mortgage Lending in December 2007.
She brought nearly twenty years of experience in the credit union industry, including twelve years as the Director of Lending at Digital Federal Credit Union. Her expertise and skilled leadership helped the credit union implement new programs and navigate increasing regulatory oversight.
“Claire led our Mortgage Department through some of the most challenging times imaginable,” stated Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. “She guided her department through the worst recession since the 1930s, followed by a previously unprecedented boon in the re-fi market.”
Under her care, Hanscom FCU’s mortgage staff grew to 15 employees in three teams to handle mortgage production, processing, and servicing. “We are very fortunate to have had Claire’s steady hand and strong leadership to help guide us through a difficult and demanding era and are extremely grateful to her for all that she enabled us to accomplish,” stated David Ossam, SVP of Human Resources.

Separately, Joshua Rakiey has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Sales for Hanscom Federal Credit Union.
Mr. Rakiey joined Hanscom FCU in July 2009 as a mortgage loan officer. He quickly rose to senior mortgage loan officer and in July 2013, he was promoted to mortgage sales manager managing Hanscom FCU’s growing sales force and promoting the origination of real estate lending products.
“As soon as he arrived, Josh made an impact on the team and our members as a hard-working contributor,” noted Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. “He is universally recognized by members, staff, and the industry as an outstanding salesperson, coworker, and manager.”
Mr. Rakiey received the President’s Circle award for sales success multiple times. In 2012, Hanscom FCU staff chose him for the John P. Cushman Award, the highest individual honor at Hanscom FCU. Nominations from co-workers noted Mr. Rakiey’s enthusiasm, creativity, leadership and commitment to members.
In 2013, Mr. Rakiey was named a Rising Star by Massachusetts Credit Union League, now known as the Cooperative Credit Union League.
