COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Aventa Credit Union has named Patrick Harrigan Chief Risk Officer/General Counsel.
He will be responsible for the safety and soundness of the credit union as it relates to legal matters and regulatory compliance. He will also oversee the BSA/AML and record retention functions, the CU said.
Harrigan previously served as the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel for Service Credit Union in Portsmouth, N.H., for over nine years, supervising the Legal, Risk, Information Security, and HR/Education Departments, and served on its Board of Directors for five years. Harrigan holds a B.A. in Economics from Brown University, a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, and a M.B.A. Finance from Plymouth State University, and is a N.A.F.C.U. certified compliance officer and risk manager.
