TUSCALOOSA, Ala.–Avadian Credit Union assembled and donated six new adult bicycles to the Christian Service Center, located in Gulf Shores, Ala., to help those in need of transportation.
Avadian Board Members along with the Credit Union's Executive Team challenged themselves in a recent Board Meeting to come up with an exercise demonstrating team work and Avadian's commitment to helping the community. After some research, they learned the Christian Service Center in Gulf Shores was looking for donations to assist individuals who were struggling to financially get back on track.
"We were looking for a fun yet worthwhile team-building exercise. When we learned of the Center's needs, it just made sense to roll up our sleeves, assemble the bikes and donate them. It was one of those instances when everything came together and benefitted both sides. We felt enriched after the experience, and the Center was able to use our donation to help others," explains Stanton Davis, V.P. of Marketing for Avadian.
