SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine–Atlantic Federal Credit Union has purchased property at 90 Riverside Street and will open a new branch in the spring of 2022.
Located near the shopping center with Kohl’s and Shaw’s at the corner of Riverside Street and Larrabee Road, Atlantic said it is joining an “exciting area.”
“There is a lot of community energy in Westbrook, and the development of Rock Row has been fun to watch,” said Atlantic President and CEO Scott Chretien. “We are thrilled to be neighbors with all the great retail locations nearby and bring our team to the area. We are raring to go and can’t wait to meet the people in the surrounding neighborhoods of Westbrook, Windham, and Portland.”
Construction of the new facility will begin this fall. Westbrook Planning Board Chair, Rene Daniel, commented that it is a “fantastic architectural piece of art, that is going to be beautiful in our gateway.”
The $950-million Atlantic FCU has more than 49,000 members.
