TULLAHOMA, Tenn.– Ascend Federal Credit Union has been named Best Credit Union and Best Bank in the 2024 Rutherford County Main Street Awards sponsored by the Murfreesboro Post.
This is the ninth year in a row Ascend has won the Best Credit Union category.
“We are once again honored to be recognized in the Main Street Awards by Murfreesboro Post readers,” Ascend President and CEO Matt Jernigan said in a statement. “To win in both categories is a tremendous accomplishment. It reflects the efforts by our Rutherford County employees to consistently demonstrate service excellence and shows their dedication to making a difference in the community. I’m extremely proud of our Ascend team.”
The credit union said it has had a longstanding presence in Murfreesboro for more than three decades, opening its first branch in the area in 1988. Ascend recently opened its seventh Rutherford County branch, Savannah Ridge in Murfreesboro, in April.
Winners were selected by Murfreesboro Post readers, who cast more than 135,000 votes for their favorite local businesses. This was the ninth year the Murfreesboro Post held the awards for Rutherford County.
“We are truly grateful to the Murfreesboro community for their unwavering support,” VP-Branch Operations Quentrece Smith said in a statement. “Our commitment to providing exceptional financial services and being an integral part of this vibrant community remains stronger than ever.”
