ST. LOUIS— Arsenal Credit Union has expanded its executive team with the appointments of James Versaw as chief operating officer and John Kren as chief financial officer, filling two key leadership roles as the organization continues to grow.
As COO, Versaw will oversee branches, the member contact center and card services, with responsibility for operational strategy and member experience. He brings more than 15 years of experience working with credit unions, including consulting with more than 80 institutions ranging from $10 million to $2.3 billion in assets, and most recently served as vice president of client experience for a large CUSO.
Arsenal said Versaw’s background also includes leadership roles at $1-billion-plus Honor Credit Union, as well as consulting work across the country, including management of more than 40 credit union conversions and mergers.
Kren, meanwhile, will oversee accounting, finance, asset-liability management and budgeting as CFO. The credit union said he brings deep financial and regulatory experience, including 17 years as a principal examiner with the NCUA, where he examined institutions ranging from $157,000 to $7 billion in assets.
