RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.— Arrowhead Credit Union and its ArrowHeart Foundation distributed 800 backpacks filled with more than 24,000 school supplies to 18 organizations across California and Arizona through the foundation's annual Backpack and School Supply Collection.
The effort was supported by Arrowhead employees and teen family members participating in the credit union's Summer Volunteer Program.
ArrowHeart Executive Director Stefanie Villalobos said this year's campaign was the largest in the program's history, driven by generous donations from employees and volunteers who collected, sorted and assembled backpacks with classroom essentials before delivering them to nonprofit organizations.
The backpack drive, now in its 13th year, expanded to include six new partner organizations in 2026. In addition to providing school supplies, Arrowhead financial coaches deliver monthly financial education sessions at Mary's Haven in San Bernardino, while the credit union also supports children at Needles Recreation Center through its annual backpack drive and holiday giving events.
Established by Arrowhead Credit Union in 2013, the ArrowHeart Foundation supports local communities through volunteerism, scholarships, food and clothing drives and other charitable initiatives. The foundation hosts more than 100 community events each year. Arrowhead Credit Union has $2.9 billion in assets and serves more than 200,000 members nationwide.
