SCHAUMBURG, Ill.–Andigo Credit Union reported it donated more than $25,000 on behalf of its members to a variety of non-profit organizations and groups in 2019.
Andigo said it selected the charities to receive donations as a show of support for their programs and services.
“From disaster relief for credit union members to mental health support, education and advocacy for adults to finding opportunities and services for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to animal rehabilitation and rescue, Andigo Credit Union is pleased to help the communities it serves,” the credit union said. “The philosophy of people helping people is what drives credit unions in general and is a main focus of Andigo’s as well.”
Its chosen charities included:
- The Buddy Foundation: A volunteer, not-for-profit organization devoted to the safety, care and eventual placement of stray, abused and abandoned animals.
- Cal’s Angels: A pediatric cancer foundation with a mission of granting wishes, raising awareness and funding research to help kids fighting cancer.
- Clearbrook: A nonprofit organization that creates innovative opportunities, services and supports for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- CUAid: A branch of the National Credit Union Foundation that raises disaster relief donations to support credit union employees, volunteers and members who suffer losses during times of tragedy.
