Amplify Credit Union Names Armijo Chief Experience Officer

AUSTIN, Texas –  Amplify Credit Union announced that Stacy Armijo has joined its executive team as Chief Experience Officer.

"In this newly created role, she will lead teams to weave together the online and offline experiences that drive exceptional service for Amplify members and steward the branding, marketing, public relations and social impact initiatives that connect Central Texans to the credit union," the CU said. “Financial services can be a commoditized sector, but I was inspired to join Amplify because they’re doing more than connecting homebuyers to mortgages or providing affordable home equity loans. They’re also committed to making a difference for those who don’t have a safe place to call home, so I’m eager to help drive growth for the organization, so we can drive positive impact for Central Texans,” said Armijo.

As a not-for-profit, Amplify Credit Union is a mission-driven organization and recently announced its Safe Place to Call Home initiative, which brings focus to its 50-year history of charitable involvement. In addition to leading these social impact efforts, Armijo will also work with teams throughout the credit union to continue Amplify’s leadership in digital innovation and continually elevating member service, the CU said.

“One of the bedrocks of our organization is ‘service first’ and we know that today, members expect to be served across a variety of channels and platforms,” said Amplify CEO Paul Trylko. “Now with more than 55,000 members and almost a billion dollars in assets, we recognize that continuing to deliver exceptional service requires new approaches and a highly coordinated effort across our 200+ team members. That’s why we’ve created this new position, and with her leadership experience and passion for community, we’re excited to have Stacy joining us in this role.”

Prior to joining Amplify, Armijo was Executive Vice President of Pierpont Communications, one of Texas’ largest independent public relations and marketing firms. She has earned recognition in her industry, being named a Woman of Influence by the Austin Business Journal and a winner of the Austin Under 40 Award for Advertising, Marketing & PR. Armijo also takes an active role in industry leadership, such as her role as Board Chair-Elect for the American Marketing Association nationally and her position as a lecturer in the Moody College of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching Strategies in Public Relations to undergraduate students majoring in public relations.
