AUSTIN, Texas – Amplify Credit Union has named Alan Jewells as its new Vice President of Commercial Lending.
Jewells joins Amplify following successful roles as Chief Credit Officer and Regional Credit Manager for financial institutions in North Carolina, where he built his 30-year career in commercial lending.

Under Alan’s leadership, we’re taking our support of the Central Texas business community to the next level,” said Mike Koch, Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. “Alan will lead our proven team of commercial loan originators and processors to expand their impact. Amplify business members will have the opportunity to benefit from his expertise in complex transactions.”
In his most recent position as Chief Credit Officer, Jewells was responsible for shaping the overall lending strategy of West Town Bank & Trust. Under his direction, Jewells’s 16-person lending team redefined their commercial lending guidelines and built key relationships with state and federal regulators.“Education is such an important part of what makes a good lender, so I’m excited to join an institution that shares my commitment to that,” said Jewells. “The potential of the Central Texas business community is vast. I look forward to connecting the next generation of Austin entrepreneurs to the tools that will help them succeed.”In 2019, Amplify closed over $80M in commercial loans, a 50% increase over 2018’s production.
