EAST HARTFORD, Conn.– In honor of Veterans Day 2019, American Eagle Financial Credit Union awarded the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center (CVCL) and the Iwo Jima Memorial Historical Foundation with grants from the American Eagle Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. A total of $5,000 was donated to support CVCL's Removing Legal Barriers program, which serves veterans at the VA Errera Community Care Center in West Haven and VA campuses in Newington and CT DVA Rocky Hill facility; and The Iwo Jima Memorial Historical Foundation's National Iwo Jima Memorial Park on Ella Grasso Boulevard in New Britain/Newington and related veterans programs hosted at the park.
