EAST HARTFORD, Conn.—American Eagle Financial Credit Union donated more than $160,000 in cash and in-kind contributions across Connecticut and Massachusetts during the final two months of 2025, directing the funds toward programs that address basic needs for local residents.
“At American Eagle, we are mission-driven and devoted to helping people in the communities we serve,” said Howard Brady, American Eagle President & CEO. “In addition to supporting our members’ financial well-being, we are proud to advance the missions of local nonprofit organizations making a real difference every day.”
“Credit unions are community-builders, and at American Eagle, we often speak of the ‘credit union difference,’ which is rooted in the fact that we are owned by our members and operate with a nonprofit business model. That means the profits we generate don’t go to shareholders—they go back to our members and to the communities where they live, work, worship and play.”
“Many of our neighbors are facing economic hardships, and American Eagle is stepping up to help,” Brady added. “Over the last several months, and throughout the year, our staff has volunteered with local nonprofits. We have also organized programs to help our neighbors in need, including collecting toy and food donations, as well as financial support for programs that help with food insecurity, energy assistance, and more. Our goal is to make a meaningful difference in our community and those we serve.”
