JACKSON, Mich.– American 1 Credit Union has opened a downtown branch on the first floor of One Jackson Square at 100 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson. The new building is the 16th American 1 branch and the eighth location in Jackson County.
“American 1 is proud to be part of the downtown Jackson community,” said President/CEO Martha Fuerstenau. “We are now conveniently located in walking distance for those who work and live in downtown Jackson.”
The downtown branch is open from 9 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, which are standard hours at most American 1 branches. The branch features universal specialists, who will serve members with all of their everyday banking needs, including processing teller transactions, opening loans and accounts, and more.
The branch also features a convenient no-fee ATM that is available 24/7, and a space that houses the growing American 1 Contact Center team, which moved from the American 1 Resource Center.
“There is a lot of energy in downtown Jackson and we are thrilled to offer our everyday banking services to this expanding community,” said Abby Smith, chief member experience officer. “We know working professionals are often on a time crunch during the workday, and the creation of the universal specialist position will produce a more efficient experience for our members.”
