LAS VEGAS – About three dozen Gibson Middle School students received correctly fitting gym shoes and socks as part of America First Credit Union’s “Warm the Soles of Kids” program.
The credit union, which hosted a festive holiday celebration complete with lunch, expects more than 219 students in Nevada and 2,016 students in Utah to receive new shoes and socks over the coming weeks. Last year alone, AFCU donated more than 1,900 pairs of shoes to students in need in Nevada and Utah.
