LAS VEGAS –– Clark County School District teachers can earn a $1,000 classroom grant, school supplies and two complimentary Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) tickets via a promotion America First Credit Union is again staging with the Las Vegas Knights of the NHL.
The “VGK Game-Changer Program” presented by AFCU recognizes and rewards teachers in Clark County who are going above and beyond in their classrooms. Outstanding teachers nominated will have the chance to receive a $1,000 grant to be used toward improving their classroom. Four recipients will be chosen this season and will be recognized within the team’s home arena, known as the Fortress, at a VGK home game, the credit union said.
The first winner was announced on Nov. 2 when the Knights played the Winnipeg Jets. Future “game-changer” award presentations include Dec. 23, 2019, Jan. 9, 2020, and Feb. 28, 2020.
