RIVERSIDE, Calif.– Tariq Johnson, a financial consultant with Altura Credit Union, has been named a “Rising Star” by the editorial staff of Bank Investment Consultant magazine. Johnson is a financial consultant with CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS), a broker dealer and SEC Registered Investment Advisor, which partners with Altura to provide investment services for Altura members.
The eight “Rising Stars of the Bank Channel” are all under age 30 and have been in the investment consulting business less than five years. Selected from among nominees, Johnson and the seven other investmentprofessionals in this inaugural list were selected for having “the characteristics that we feel point to ongoing success in the industry,” the announcement stated.
In working with clients, Johnson said he uses analogies instead of industry jargon to explain things. “For instance, people tend to make financial decisions in a piecemeal fashion. I stress the importance ofhaving a cohesive financial plan. I compare it to putting together a puzzle. You can’t use pieces from three different boxes. Rather, it’s important to find pieces that are meant to fit together,” he said.
“Tariq Johnson provides our Members with outstanding service and we are proud to see him recognized for his excellence,” said Jennifer Binkley, chief operating officer, Altura.
In addition to providing financial planning and investment services through CFS, Altura Credit Union offers financial services, including: consumer, home and auto loans, savings and checking accounts, and online and mobile banking services. Visit the website www.AlturaCU.com to learn more.
