RIVERSIDE, Calif. – More than 30 volunteers from Altura Credit Union helped honor military personnel and their families at the 44th Annual Military Appreciation Picnic at March Air Reserve Base here. More than 4,000 people attended the event that was created to thank military men and women for their service while also recognizing the sacrifices their families make.
Altura is a major sponsor of the picnic, which is coordinated and hosted by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce for personnel assigned to the local air base and their families. The picnic is free thanks to the many local and military-related businesses that underwrite the event’s costs. Hundreds of volunteers ensure the event’s success, the credit union said.
