Altura CU Employees Support Salvation Army's Angel Tree

RIVERSIDE, Calif.– Altura Credit Union and its employees embraced the Salvation Army’s annual “Angel Tree” program during the recent holiday season to help families who wouldn’t otherwise have the resources to celebrate Christmas.

Employees donated gifts for 70 local children and assisted the Salvation Army in sorting thousands of donated items for distribution in time for Christmas.

Altura’s Commercial Real Estate Department also “adopted” a family for the season. And, finally, Altura provided space at its Moreno Valley branch on Cactus Avenue for the Salvation Army store, sort and set up distribution of the donations.

“These donations can really make the difference for families between having a happy holiday and a sad one,” said Tina Covington, Altura vice president of Sales & Business Development. “Our employees generously opened their hearts to share the holiday spirit with those in need.”
