New Educational Endowments Announced
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Board of Directors of Altura Credit Union re-elected its slate of officers for the 2016-2017 administrative year at the credit union’s 59th annual meeting in late June. The new year’s officers are: Ofelia Valdez-Yeager, board chairman; Jacqueline Hall, vice chairman and chairman elect; Jerry Rivera, treasurer;Gloria Perez, secretary; and Mark Balys, immediate past chairman.
Other members of the Board of Directors include: Gary Baugh, Joseph Calderon, Keith Downs, Dr. Ron Pardee, Norman Perry, George Price, Barbara Purvis, Perry Reed and Alan Strzemieczny.
“We are very fortunate to have such a diverse and experienced group of professionals on our Board of Directors working for all our Members,” said Altura CEO Mark Hawkins. “They always keep the focus on addressing what our Members need and want from their credit union.”
New Educational Endowments Announced
Additionally, the board also announced the creation of two new endowments though the Altura Foundation: The Altura Board of Directors Educational Endowment and the Dr. Linda Wisher Educational Endowment in honor of the long-time Altura Board member who passed away earlier this year. Thefirst $1,000 scholarship awarded by the Wisher Endowment was presented to Estrela Del Real from Vista Del Lago High School in Moreno Valley.
