ARLINGTON, Texas–Allied Federal Credit Union supported the Arlington Police Department’s “Santa Cops” program with a $750 donation.
The Santa Cops program partners with Arlington Independent School District to spread Christmas cheer to families who can’t afford the festivities. Program highlights include buying gifts for kids and hosting a Christmas party for their families. The credit union noted it has been supporting Santa Cops for years.
“The thought of families going without on any day of the year is heartbreaking – but especially during the holidays,” said Sarah Ramos, AVP of experience at Allied Federal Credit Union. “For our staff, this is more than a monetary donation. It’s a way for us to provide hope and joy to local families who are struggling.”
The donation was made through AlliedFCU’s Casual for a Cause program, which allows employees to wear casual attire at work to support local causes chosen by an employee committee. The employee committee chooses a different cause to receive funds each month.
