Aggieland CU Celebrates New Branch

COLLEGE STATION, Texas–Aggieland Credit Union (ACU) opened its new Tower Point Branch with a Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting. Many community members, Bryan/College Station Chamber members and ambassadors and potential members were on-hand to kick-off the festivities.

Howard Baker, credit union President & CEO, shared remarks about the credit union’s history and told of how a group of Texas A&M leaders, including Jack G. Fritz ’53, formed what is known today as Aggieland Credit Union.  Founded specifically for Texas A&M and the surrounding community in 1985, the important founders recognized the benefits and commitment that only a financial cooperative, a credit union, could provide.

The Aggieland Credit Union Tower Point Branch will mark the fourth branch in the Brazos Valley and the 19th location across the state of Texas.

Aggieland Credit Union is also known as Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union, which has been serving Texans since 1952.
