BASKING RIDGE, N.J.-- Affinity Federal Credit Union has partnered with the San Diego-based iGrad to offer its members financial wellness education.
With more than 20 branches and more than 165,000 members, Affinity Federal Credit Union (AFCU) recently launched Enrich, iGrad’s adaptive, personalized and interactive online financial literacy platform.
Enrich is used by more than 300 employers and financial institutions nationwide to provide comprehensive financial wellness education and action plans to employees and customers, the company said.
AFCU has been committed to financial literacy for more than a decade, offering 200 financial wellness events in 2017 alone. In particular, the credit union said it works to “empower underserved communities, including at-risk high school and college students.
Offering an online financial education platform to reach more people was a priority, said Grant Gallagher, AFCU's financial education manager.
“Getting somewhere to attend an in-person seminar hasn't been as practical as it has always been,” he said. "We wanted to make sure we weren't just serving our members who could attend seminars.”
Enrich offers material that will be valuable to all AFCU members, with educational content including student loans, mortgages, long-term health care and more, Gallagher said.
Designed around a proprietary behavioral algorithm, Enrich personalizes financial information for each user’s situation and needs. It also offers tools, quizzes, videos, articles and a library of multimedia content.
"We are thrilled to partner with Affinity Federal Credit Union,” said iGrad founder and CEO Rob LaBreche. “This is a chance to positively influence the behaviors of its members through financial wellness education.”
