BROWNSTOWN, Mich.— Advantage One Credit Union participated in Movers for Military, a fundraiser organized by Two Men and a Truck and Kroger.
AOCU advertised for the fundraiser via social media and provided drop off locations at each of their branches.
Members of the credit union were asked to donate non-perishable food, cleaning supplies and/or personal hygiene items. In addition, Advantage One’s management team challenged staff to donate as well. Employees were eager to take part and enjoyed keeping track of the other branches progress, trying to ensure a win for theirs. All three locations did exceptionally well and, after a week-long competition, nearly 1,000 items were collected.
Advantage One Credit Union is a financial organization with $136 million in assets and three branches located in southeast Michigan. Since 1952, Advantage One has served the downriver communities by offering products, services and education to help local residents achieve their financial goals.
