LAKE MARY, Fla.--This December i4 Business will recognize Linh Dang, Addition Financial’s Chief Development Officer, with the Business Leader of the Year Award in the Economic Development category.
Dang was nominated for the award because of her community involvement and her contributions to the credit union.
Dang joined the Addition Financial team in 2003, leading a variety of departments during that time. She currently oversees the Community Engagement & Partnerships, Leadership & Talent Development, Marketing and Project Management departments. As Chief Development Officer, she has overseen several corporate culture initiatives to bolster employee engagement, including improved product knowledge training, job shadowing opportunities, and the creation of WeConnect, a weekly internal training podcast designed to foster professional development within the organization. She also oversaw the rebrand of Addition Financial from CFE Federal Credit Union in 2018 and 2019, and has successfully led the credit union through multiple mergers.
Under her leadership, Addition Financial introduced its high school branch program in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties. Through this program, high school students are trained to run a self-sufficient credit union branch on their campus. Eleven years later, the program has expanded to serve nine local high schools, and has led to full-time credit union employment for many students upon graduation.
Earlier this year, Dang was recognized by CUES (Credit Union Executive Society) with the Exceptional Leader Award, as well as by Valencia College with the Distinguished Alumni Award.
