COCKEYSVILLE, Md.—APG Federal Credit Union has officially opened a new branch here, expanding its footprint in the Baltimore region with what it said is its third Baltimore County location.
The Edgewood, Md.-based credit union marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by elected officials, community members and industry leaders. The branch, located at the former WesBanco site at 10301 York Rd., opened to the public last month and is intended to strengthen APGFCU’s outreach to residents and businesses in Baltimore County.
The 2,840-square-foot branch offers full-service banking along with interactive teller machines that function as both ITMs and ATMs. APGFCU said the machines provide employee-assisted service during normal branch hours and traditional ATM access beyond those hours through a 24/7 vestibule. The location employs five full-time staff members.
“Last fall, we established a physical presence in Baltimore County, and we’re excited to continue expanding in this market with the opening of this branch in Cockeysville,” President and CEO Becky Smith said in a statement. “This is a significant moment for our growing credit union and reflects the positive impact we’ve seen in the region.”
