ALPENA, Mich.–Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) partnered with Alpena Community College (ACC) for Giving Tuesday for its Healthy Futures Start Here Campaign.
ACC’s Healthy Futures Start Here Campaign is a renovation of Van Lare Hall that will house ACC’s Nursing Program. The project will include state-of-the-art simulation learning laboratory and control room to better prepare students for real world experiences. It will also include eight bed basic nursing lab, two debriefing/conference rooms for interactive learning, and an advanced home-style lab for in-home care training.
In addition to housing the nursing program the renovations will include a community space, seven multi-purpose classrooms, bathroom renovations, updated exterior, a new admissions office, a fire suppression system, and an energy efficient HVAC system including high-efficiency hot water boilers and air conditioners.
